We strictly deal with HVAC projects, however many mechanical contractors offer services such as plumbing, electrical, and drains in addition to HVAC. So, when you are having a contractor bid your HVAC project you can discuss additional work with them at that time.

This all depends on the efficiency of the bidding contractors. We ask that contractors contact you within 24 hours of requesting permission to bid. Once they have made contact and scheduled the in-home visit, the contractor will be the one to determine how soon you get your proposals.

All contractors wishing to utilize Heat-Cool Bids must have current mechanical licensing subject to verification through the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. Failure to hold a license or keep this current will disqualify any contractor from bidding on projects through Heat-Cool Bids. We require all contractors to abide by a good faith code of ethics with us. Though not legally binding, it sets out our expectations for what kind of service we would want the homeowners who use us to receive. We also have a code of ethics on the homeowner side, which helps to manage the expectations that our contractors have about connecting with homeowners.

The contractors are solely responsible for all communications with potential customers and for any procedures or processes used by their companies.

You will be asked about your project information, budget, timeline, and other pertinent details. We will then release this information to qualified contractors who can bid it out for you and give you a dollar-for-dollar quote.
